Clutch problem?, could be a $7 fix!
I was having problems with the clutch on my 86, 4+3 manual, being my 1st Vette, I just assumed it was an exceptionally tight clutch. Finally last weekend, it just released, and I could barely get it to engage. Thinking I was into a major repair bill. I happened onto a thread in General Disscusion, where it was explained that a small plastic bushing (GM part #14094900) that holds the clutch pedal left rod, to the cylinder plunger (under dash panel) could be the culprit. It was indeed, with $7 and ten minutes work, its like a new clutch alltogether. If you are having a problem, check this out 1st. It could be that simple, and cheap!
