Changing exhaust. Help needed
Heres my question. Theres a tiny pipe leading from the enginge room to the cat. I suspect this is a part of a sensoring system that are used to optimize the cat. However, since Im going to run without a cat, Im planning to remove this tiny pipe entirely. Will I run in to any problems doing this? I hope there aint some sort of system check that mess things up if I remove it. Should I remove the battery cable before doing it?
Any other inputs/tips when changing exhaust on a -91 L98 corvette. Thank you very much for all inputs. I´m planning on changing it on sunday.
I had a great horsepower increase with 1 5/8" long tube headers and dual 2.5" exhaust. Two mufflers, but zero cats.
The stock exhaust goes from the manifolds, to two pre-cats, "Y's" to a single cat, followed by a single pipe that "Y's" in the back to two mufflers.
