Hi, recently notice no more power take off from accelerator pedal anymore.
Did a tuneup, tranny oil change, Mobil 1 oil change and still the same.
Is there something else to look into beside the dealer?
Really missed that neck snapping power take off.
Thank in advance for any input.
This may sound funny, but how long have you owned the car? I find myself getting used to the power after awhile. I am frequently a passenger in my friends '93, and always find myself wondering why my car does not feel as fast. As a driver, you know what's about to happen when you hit the pedal, minimizing the effect you feel. If you have someone you can trust drive your car while you sit in the passenger seat, you'll most likely feel that neck snapping acceleration again.
Have you put anything in the gas tank like fuel injector cleaner, or octane booster? Sometimes those can cause the oxygen sensors to mess up. If the oxygen sensors aren't working right then your're not getting the optimal air/fuel ratio at part-throttle. That could certainly cause a loss of 'snap'.
As mentioned, you should change the fuel filter if not done in a 20K miles or so. It may well be that your fuel filter has slowly accumulated enough crud to reduce flow rate to the point the motor is not getting enough fuel

:iagree:
I know EXACTLY what you mean. I am reassured when I see my passenger's necks snapping.
