I've never installed one, but my guess is it's a valve put on the front brake hydraulic line that keeps the front system pressurised after you take your foot off the brake.
They install between the master cylinder and front brakes on the brake line. It's an electric soleniod, you mash the brake pedal, hit the power button. The soleniod closes so when you release the pedal it keeps the front brakes locked-up.When you release the power, soleniod opens up and the brakes release. :chevy
Could it be installed on rear brakes so when you push the button solenoid closes and then when you hit the brake pedal it will only brake the front brakes?
I would like to install something like this because it would be a lot easier on trans when warming tires.
I think you're missing the point. First, you apply the brakes, then you hit the button. This locks the line going to the front brakes, meaning that the front brakes are applied and stuck that way until you release the lock. If you just let off the brake, the rear brakes release, but the fronts stay applied. This is so you can do your burn-out with out messing up your trans and/or rear brakes.
