May have a different problem than the opti...
It seems the battery light comes on when I put hte car under a load and this causes the hesitation.. Must be my alternator.. I just had it rebuilt not more than four weeks ago.. Oh well back to get it done again for free and this time a new battery as well.. could be the battery is causing the alt to die out..

Think about this. Does your Vette sit for long periods of time? Say 2-3 weeks at a time? Your battery will lose some of it's charge. When you get it started, most guys think a good drive will charge up the battery just fine. That's okay once in a while. But the alternator is not really designed to keep recharging a poorly charged battery as this causes the alternator to heat up. The more it heats up, the better the chance of failing. If it does sit for periods of time, put a trickle charger on it. Bring the battery to an auto store (Auto Zone) and have them check your battery. This any help?
