Nice job... The reason you can't see the pics is because he is hosting them on GEOCITIES.... you have to cut and paste the links into your address box...
WOW! I wish I had one of them about right now in mine so I could fish around up in there with a magnet to see that broke in mine
Also I wish I could weld like that too
Can you like the bung that you used? And exactly how you did it. Who welded it for you?
Thanks
If I remember correctly, the plug is a 3/4 inch pipe plug and the pipe fitting was a #12. I pulled all gears, races, bearings and seals and put it on the mill. Had a scare right when the 1 in. bit went through the case..... even though I had the case VERY secured to the mill, as soon as it cut all the way through, it started kicking and bucking real good. Backed of quickly enough and no real damage. As for the welding, I wish I could say I did it all, but when I have a former Alston chassisworks welder on the race team, its hard NOT to take advantage of it! :yesnod:
ShawnZR-1: Thanks for re-posting the pics..... I thought Geocities would work fine for posting pics. Oh well.....
Thanks for the info. Mine will be shipped today to you for the installation of another :jester
Nice job...Looks real good. Welding is something I would love to know how to do...I would spend hours just doing it if I knew how to, especially if the results were like that!
