Hope you guys can help-I've got a burnt headlight motor(left) on my '94.Just stopped working.Armature burnt out.I'm on the trail of a second hand replacement but I need to find out why this happened so it doesn't happen with my new motor.
Can someone tell me what shuts off the motor when the h'light is fully open or closed-does a '94 have a'actuator module' and is the fault likely to be with that?
Can someone e-mail me a wiring diagram for the late C4's so that an Auto Electrition friend of mine can see how the system works.
Any help would be appreciated. My e-mail is- nz.eiger.97@xtra.co.nz
Cheers  :mad
Re: '94 Headlight motor burnt out-why? (Back in BL4CK)
The actuator gears are usually the culprit in a case like yours. That is one of the weaknesses in C4's. My service manuals are a '92 and '93. If you get no response, give a shout and I'll see what I can do. Gears are available from Mid America or Eckler's; not too expensive. The motors on the other hand, ouch!
