I'm going to post this in another thread I started on this topic. Well, here's the strange thing...the exhaust now seems a tad quieter. Still no noticeable resonance and I drove it home at cruise speed, but with the windows down. I'll have to get it out this weekend and play with it since I had my 5 year old with me on the way home last night (He doesn't like it when Dad goes fast....I'll give him a few years for that to change). The two things that are now different are: 1.) I get an exhaust 'pop' when I change gears (mostly because engine is at anything but and idle RPM stage. Don't know if it needs tuned again because it might be running too rich. The popping also seemed to go away after the engine got up to optimal temperature. 2.) The header pipes hang a little lower so now I have to be careful about scraping them or "bottoming out" on a dip. Is that typical that header pipes hang lower???

Bottom line...at this point, the jury is still out. It was a costly install and my corvette slush fund needs some time to recuperate. If I end up not liking these headers, then I'm going to bite the bullet (again) and just go with a new set from TPiS.

Try the windows up vs windows down.

In my experience windows down does reduce significantly any resonance compared to windows up.
