Can anyone please describe the signal that the distributor is supposed to send the ECM and which wire I should be looking at? Should it pulse and if so, at what frequency and what voltage? I have checked the wires at the distributor and so far this is how they read:
pink batt - battery voltage, constant
white tach - battery voltage, constant
purple - battery voltage, constant
black - ground
other pink - dunno, had to stop and get new battery 8-)
I thought the purple was the correct wire, but there is no pulsing, just constant battery voltage. Is it the tan and black? I know this sounds dumb, but at 2am, I don't mind sounding dumb if you can help me. Thanks ahead of time, even if you don't read this until tomorrow.
