Easy to install, easy to remove. LOUD I set off car alarms alot. They sound real good at WOT and highway cruise 17-1800 rpm. Not deep at idle like flowmasters or some of the exhaust systems. more of a raspy sound.
I have them on my LT4 and I dont think they are loud at all. Of course I'm coming out of a 2002 coupe with long tubes, high flow cats, and slp loudmouth exhaust. That was loud. By the way, WCC had to straighten the pipes out and re-weld. They were crooked from ecklers. Save some money and go pick out tips and have a muffler shop do the work. Trust me, it will be cheaper than the e-lims and you can get the exact tips you want.
I put in pipes about two years ago when a muffler shop said they didn't have the mufflers I needed and that I didn't really need tham at all. Since my cats are not gutted, I took a chance and for $30.00 the guy welded up the tubes. The sound is nice and low throaty. I would agree that they certainly aren't way loud...they are maybe 20% louder but have a better "serious" kinda sound. Go for it...its a cheap experiment.
I have them on my 85. The inserts finally blew out and now they are really loud. I have mixed emotions about replacing them even with new of the same kind. You do get some attention as you go past people.
They do take notice. lucky the cops haven't noticed yet. Makes me feel good around rice burners....in the long run, nothing beats cubic inches.
Ok, I have been dying to know this....
For you guys who have the muffler elims (aka pipe from exhaust shop) was there or was there no difference on torque/seat-of-the-pants feel?
Figured you might want to know this too cicch95. . .

I felt no difference.........Mojo said he got slower in the 1/4 with his
Got mine from Mid-Am. Had them installed at the muffler shop for $50. Glad I did too because they were about 4 inches too long.
I couldn't be happier with the sound and the lack of resonates. Mines not loud at all but I have all three cats. Sound is sweet. If I have no probs with these in CA for inspection, you won't either.
I would leave them sticking out about 4 inches from the bumper. I think that's the key to eliminating the resonates. See sig below.
I have them on my '85. It's loud when you lean on it, but at highway speeds, its not bad. Any Vette I get from now on will have the eliminators on them. Vettes shouldn't be quiet! :D :chevy
I had a exhaust shop make their own, 45.00 for pipe and 45.00 labor. I bought stainless tips seperate. no seat of the pants difference. My main cat is gutted, but the precats are still there. Exhaust tone is maybe 10- 20% more. No problem from the boys in blue. :flag
