air cleaner cutout
I have seen mentioned in previous posts the air cleaner housing being cutout.
Since today is "try to fix the darn problem with the Vette" day, I thought if this mod helps and is easy to do, why not. So - - if someone has a photo of the air cleaner cover cutout, I would really appreciate seeing what the mod is supposed to look like.

I bought one from a corvette salvage yard so that I could keep my original one, and put it back so it looked stock when (if ) I ever sell the car. I clamped the one I bought to a table, and cut around it edges with a cut off wheel. Once you look at it, you will easily be able to see what needs to be removed....BTW I didnt notice any seat of the pants diff between the one I bought and cut out, and the stock one I just removed. Unless you drag race, where it might be worth a 1/10 or 2 think twice before you cut it all up. Just my 2 cents.

Boy, the opinions on this mod vary. Anyway, took photo of stock filter housing and did some photoshop work.
