It was a special order high performance one. The guy rebuilding my tranny swears by them. It has the torrington bearings, brazed fins and all the goodies. The only thing it seems to be lacking was an anti-balloon plate, but I am not running nitrous anyway. I have done a search and saw alot of F-Body race cars with them. Just curious as that is what the local shop swears by and they are warranteeing the work. I looked at it today, and it looked just like a B&M or TCI, well even like a torque converter! :jester I was just curious if anyone had any experience with these.
When I got my '88 over 10 years ago I took it to a local transmission shop that actually cuts open converters and does the full mod to your specs right there in the shop. But for me they recommended the Daaco for less than what they charge for the same mod. After all these years, it's still going strong.
I used and sold Daaco product for 15 years back in Kansas City with little to no problems. They stood behind everything I sent back to them, and sent me replacement product or credit without hassel ( I probably had a 5% WARRANTY with 90% of those being user/installere issues not product problem.
