The book says 34 to 39 lbs is normal FP.
You can gain power with more FP IF you have increased the airflow in your intake to make use of any extra fuel available. Extra pressure will atomize the fuel better but the ECM will just adjust the duty cycle of the injectors based on the rich/lean info from the O2 sensor. You won't gain anything if your engine can't use the extra fuel.

What jim said, but let me add at WOT there might not be enough correction with the increased FP and you might run rich, hence killing performance.
If the air is there at WOT, then you probably will benefit, if its not you won't.

so is it a good cheap mod or a waste of time to put in a adjustable fuel pressure regulater?i have now 38psi to 40psi from a idle and wot
