Brake-in for new cam
I've read in John Lingenfelter's book that on first start, engine should be
immediately reved to 1500-2000 rpm and kept like that for 15-20 minutes.
How did You brake-in your new cam?

At least 20 minutes above 2000 rpm! Sounds and feels great with open headers! What a rush!
The increased idle speed insures proper lubrication and tappet spin to allow a proper wear pattern to develope! Then for about 500 miles avoid driving at a constant speed for long periods of time. You don't have to blip the throttle but gentle increases and decreases...after that you're gold!

This is correct for a non-roller cam. Roller camshafts need no break-in period, just let the engine warm up and run it.

Though roller lifters don't rotate it is likely a good idea as the other valve train components still need to wear in on initial startup.

You have a Roller lifters so you dont have to brake them in.
What you are reading is for engines that dont have a roller cam.
