I'm not sure about that year model, but I'm sure it pretty close to my '94. There are 4 hex head bolts holding the roof panel on. 2 of them are recessed in small holes under the sun visors and 2 are behind the driver and passenger seats in the rear pillar. You just need to remove the rear 2 and loosen the front 2 (the front 2 will not come out, they are clipped in to not fall out) Once you do that, you can remove the panel. If this is different for your year model, I'm sure someone will chime in with a correction to my instructions. Driving without the top on is a great experience, luckly I have both the 'Vette and a Mustang convertible so I can go topless with either car. One recommendation though, its going to be a hot, hot day (I live in TX, so its alway hot), I'd leave the top on. trying to take the top off after its been baking in the sun for a few hours is not fun, unless you have oven mitts!
On my 85 the rear mounts have three torx heads visible on each side...remove the one in the middle! The front two are above(under) the visor and the bolts don't drop out.
