I have a few questions about the a forementioned engine:
1. how often does the Opti-spark fail, and what should I look out for?
2. How reliable is the LT-1?
3. Is it worth buying the car with the LT-1/ Opti-spark?

I noticed your sig has a 1984 Vette. Are you looking to buy a 92 or better Vette? The 92 to 94 has a non vented opti which can be modified to vented just like the 95 to 96s. Venting helps to expand the life span of the opti. If you read that article, you'll see what I think is the answer to our opti-spark; the Dyna-spark replacement.
