Default 94 coupe....AC problem

I am still fighting an AC problem. The problem is that the AC Compressor will not shut off. Is there anything that will cause this other than the switch. I have already replaced the vacuum ck valve under the pass side of the car. The AC in the car is the standard unit not the Auto type. Thanks ..Terry

Circuit is usually from the fuse (though on a '94 it's probably from the PCM) through the dash, out to the high & low pressure switches and then through the clutch coil and onto ground at the the frame. The dash control - for manual air - is what completes the circuit so to speak - it's the most likely culprit. Contacts are closed when they should be open. Otherwise, something is supplying battery voltage directly to the clutch coil. Possible, but not probable, though you could go ahead and inspect the hot lead at the coil and follow it back to the low and high pressure switches without too much trouble.
