I dont know your gauges on the LT1, but at startup it should be in the high 50s-60psi, after it gets hot the cruising pressure should be in the low/mid 50s, and idle pressure shouldnt drop below about 30-35psi.
If yours aint doing that, then replace the sending unit first, then replace the oil pump if that doesnt fix it. I had the same problem last month and it was the pump.

Nope, its doing that. I just wasn't sure if that was "proper"
I have an LT1, when I start up the car cold, the oil pressure is at the 3'rd line (3/4s to 80psi).
When it warms up to about 150 it starts to hang around the 2nd line (or half to 80).
When it gets up to about 210-220 oil temp, and I'm cruising it goes to about half way between the 2nd and 3rd line.
Some times off idle. It will kinda hesitate for a second and then the oil pressure goes to normal.
Whats up?
If you're asking why it drops as it warms that's normal.
My '95 is similar except when cruising my oil temp is only 200 - 205 and the pressure is 38-45. That's in 6th gear at 70mph, 5th gear it's more like 45-50psi. My car was never abused, 40000 miles. 5w30 Mobile-1.
In my '95, the oil pressure is about 50-60psi when it's cold, but when it's warmed up all the way(~220' oil temp), at idle it's at the second line (20psi I think) and then at about 2000RPM it's at 40 (right in the middle).
