I went to some bigger valve covers for my Brodix heads, and now the A/C compressor needed to be spaced out 3/4" on the bracket. Now I realized the stock belt won't fit. What size belt do I need? (1" longer?) Anyone know?
I also need to modify the wiper motor ... can anyone give me some tips? Pics?
I went through that awhile back on my 85 and on the wiper motor I had to trim the plastic cover and remove the washers between the motor and the firewall and it cleared...barely. On the A/C compressor though I didn't have any problems so I can't help you there. Good Luck
Well if it's an emergency you could attack the corner of the wipermotor with a Dremel w/ a cutoff tool. You'd gain the clearance and the cut would be clean but it doesn't look that cool.
I don't know what your setup is but do you really NEED tall covers? I've got a one-piece seal block and heads in my car and I fit aluminum roller rockers with polylocks under some cast aluminum valvecovers. Seems to me a tall valvecover shouldn't be needed unless you're running girdles on the rocker studs. Just a thought.
