just a few facts, I hope it works out but.......
[b] the 4L60 trans is RATED AT A MAX ENGINE TQ OF ABOUT 350 ft lbs,
the stock short block won,t take 10psi-30psi of boost with the stock injectors or programing for long (seconds)
the turbos off a 855cid engine that reaches full boost at 3000rpm, a 350 will produce the same exhaust volume at about 7328 rpm, now the turbos boost map is going to be totally wrong for a much smaller 350 engine.
the stock pistons and compression are not correct!
the stock rear end won,t handle the tq for long if the trans does hold,
a simple cam change and nitrous kit will more than likely make for less work and a faster corvette
I hope he gets it to run, but, there are a few things to work out!

Grumpy did you read all 8 pages? He is hoping it only makes about 7psi and only over 3000 RPM. He said once he does destroy the bottom end he'll build the thing up.

and he will more than likely need a DANA 60 solid rear axle
and once he melts the stock pistons and destroys the stock engine the little bits of molten piston metal that are almost garaunteed to spit out the exhaust ports will total that turbo

The turbo selection is ridiculous. Let alone fit... more money than brains...

Sounds like he is driving it!

Well I took it out today. It was still lean during part throttle, I will program that out tomorrow. But WOT? WOW!!!! by 3200 the map sensor is pegged, she comes on real strong and then goes crazy rich. I can see we have alotta bugs to work out. But the jury is in, the turbo is perfect. Once I get the programming nailed I will really get to se what she'll do. You can actually hear the BOV over the open exhaust!! It's before the MAF so I don't have any puffs due to the rich condition you get when you vent pre measured air, which kinda makes programming a little eaisier. Ive been lookiung at so many #'s today with the tunercat software I'm going crosseyed. Kenshiro will videotape tomorrow so you can see what I mean
It's runnin alot better. Makin 6 psi at 4500. It feels strange. It pulls harder and harder in each progressing gear. The tires scrawl the pavement and trade sides of who gets traction. all the radiator and coolertank weight really helps it hook. It doesn't really break loose. Just pulls real real hard. So hard that it's really killin the clutch. I tried to get kenshiro over today to make a video, but he didn't call back. It sounds like it's turning 10,000 rpm. and the tach runs away so fast all you'll see is the yellow shift light and me rowing my butt off. It's runnin around 12.2-12.5 afr on the wideband in a long 4th gear pull. still a little lean for my taste, but at only 6psi and 110 in the tank, I don't worry about flooring it right now. I'm down sizing the exhaust housing to a .96 or a .87 a/r for faster boost response. I don't even get 2 psi in first, but second gear? still I wonder if this a/r would produce the desired boost levels when I get the new lower end. But then again the new lower end will be a 396 or a 409 stroker.

i'm sure he could have a million different ways to make this thing go fast, but half of the fun is trying something new and ridiculous. imagine popping the hood of a vette to see a 50lb turbochrager! that's awesome!

I admit to having limited knowledge of turbos but that looks too big for the car. The vettes I've seen with turbos don't look anything like that. It almost looks like something from TLCs 'Junckyard Wars'.
