...having CROSSFIRE INJECTION on the front fender molding is like having 307 on a 70 Nova with a 350 roller in the engine bay.
Yeah, but you DO have "a 350 roller in the engine bay".

Cajun C4,

What cam are you running, and more importantly, what kind of 1/4 mile times?

Cajun,

What kind of trap speed are you generating with that? Using a G-tech, your ET will be slower but your trap speed will be higher than running on a track.

For $7000 you can get a nice TPI Vette. Don't be the guy who sez "well I shouddah got a TPI Vette, I wish I haddah" If cross fire was as good as TPI, GM would have stayed with it.

Cajun,

That's a healthy trap speed. You should be in the low 13's with that kind of power on the track. As I said, ET's from Gtech will be higher and the trap speed will be higher since its not averaged over the last 60". What else do you have as part of your engine and drivetrain combo?

C4 Suke,

Maybe you'd be interested in owning mine someday then.

OK. So its a 383. And the 87 block explains your being able to use the ZZ4 cam.
One of the cams I looked at when deciding which one to use. But my early block would require modification so I went with a retro-fit CompCams roller.

Nice combo. It would be fun to put a 7747 in that thing and tune it. I'll bet we could knock a few tenths off. :yesnod:
Are you using the early or late model BB injectors?

Umm how is that a 383? Doesnt he need a 400 crank?

Sorry. My mental calculator froze on that.
Cajun, the guys at http://www.crossfire.webhop.net have an adapter that'll take the harness for the stock ECM and adapt it for the 7747 pin connectors. Then find yourself a donor truck like a 91 GM 2500. I'll be glad to help out but probably makes more sense to speak on the phone. I'll send you an email with my contact info.
Have you parallel plumbed the TBI units? If you are still running the Xfire manifold, I would highly recommend that. :iagree:

15.5:1 Cr.
What is THIS. Not compression ratio, I trust.
Didn't get to the track yet but I borrowed my friends G-Tech. pulled 13.9's best..lots of tire smoke.
This looks like ANOTHER good contest for my car. I am not saying mine is faster, but the contest could be fun. I'd like to race a couple of good Crossfires before I change engines.

RACE ON!!!

My first vette was an '84. It's a great way to start. It had over 122,000 when I bought it. Over the next three years I put on over 25,000 miles and the cross fire injection never failed. The suspension was stiff which I liked. I wish my '93 had the ride of the '84. My only complaint, is that it liked to overheat if stuck in traffic for long periods.

CFI,

The likelihood of you ever coming to Illinois or Louisiana is pretty small. I say put the car on a Dynojet and let's see an SAE corrected HP and Torque curve.

Dominic,

I'm afraid you are right. Saaay...Utah has more National Parks than any other state. Why don't you head west?

That would be ONE way, but I'd rather race cars, than benches (or dynos).

RACE ON!!!
