Throttle Performance Switch
Has anybody used this - in all the catalogues now showing '82 to '96. I understand what it is supposed to do but does it work as promised. I have an '84 ths starves for air. :flag

Welcome to the forum.
If you are talking about the 'lyers box' which plugs into your TPS and fools the computer into thinking you went WOT (Wide open throttle) at 1/2 gas, to give you more timing/fuel, it doesn't do anything to help your car breather better. Adds '0' HP and TRQ, and you too can simulate the same result by flooring your car. :D
I didn't even know '84s had TPS?

As for the "Throttle Performance Switch", save the $99 and just floor it. Same result.

Although everyone says this item is a waste of money, I use one on my 84.
Don't really notice any difference, but?
