http://www.ioportracing.com/Merchant...ry_Code=AP7400 This is the company Bluewasp got his from. They have a few choices, but I don't know if any of them will allow the top in the rear. When you do find one that does or you find someone to make one, be sure to post it here. I'm sure there are alot of people interesting in this. :seeya
Good idea scorp. Let us know if you figure something out, it's going to be a while yet before my SWRacing bar goes in.
Ski_dwn_it's post is absolutely on the mark. I won't be running 9's but I will be at 100+, anything can happen in a race. Besides, I've been painting three kids rooms over the last month, you bet your butt I want to be there to yell at them for drawing on the walls :)
Look for "Turbovette" He stores his top with the rollbar and I don't think it has any bends in it, but it does block your vision out the rear window, he doesn't store it the conventional way, he rests the top on the down tubes.

Here are a couple of pics of my roll bar. It is a 6-point made of chrome molly. I'm able to store the top by resting it on back of the roll bar and the back area just under the rear latch. The top is facing to the rear. It doesn't leave me much space to see... about 2 inches. When it's stored back there, which is quite often, I find the side mirrors handy.
You can see the indentations in the foam where the top rests.

 If you ever get a chance to take a pic with the top resting in there, I'm sure a lot of us would like to see it. :yesnod:

John, I don't understand. The rear braces on yours have a bend in them and mine do also, just at a different angle? Anybody got a copy of the rule book that could clear this up?

You have to look at the relationship between the main hoop and the rear down bars, your down bars are clearly to the outside of the main hoop, you've lost your triangulatity (sp)? The rear bars have to be in the same plane as the frame rails.

John, if this (red Vette) pic is your bar, then mine is very similar from what I can see. I'm still able to place the roof on the bar and close the rear. If you foam pad the bar, you should be able to fit the roof in.

Guys here a video of one of our own here on the forum wrecking. Mind you he was spraying and from what I remember just barely running in the 11s. So many of you are just a tad slower and some of us are a little quicker. At any rate, this could have turned out MUCH MUCH worse! http://web.pdx.edu/~ferreira/CRASH%201.MPG
For comparison purposes, here is my bar, which was installed by the same people as Mackey. Not only do I feel good much better about racing at the strip, but I feel about 100x safer on the street too. Ever look to see where the bumpers of most SUVs/Trucks line up with the side of your car. :(
