This weekend I attended the Club Corvette Sweden championship. We had both dragracing and roadracing. My car felt strong and performed well in the roadracing. I got stuck in the traffic though and I really need new brakes (Brembo). :smash:
Last year I ran 13.91 at the same track. During the winter I installed a Shift Kit from B&M and the car felt faster. During this spring I installed a pair of Flowmaster Afterburner at the rear of my dual 3” exhaust system. Before this all I had was a pair of catalytic converters and the rest was just straight pipes. The car didn’t felt any slower with the mufflers on than without (nor any more silent!). :bs
My best E.T during this weekend was 14.10@156 kph (96.4 mph) compared to last years 13.91@159 kph (98.2mph). The weather was almost the same as last year.
How are you determining the weather to be the same. Temp?? In a given day the DA can change enough to swing ETs the amount your off.
Without a weather station and a bunch of runs logged into it. Its very tough to know that the weather is not effecting your ETs and its a mechanical/tuning issue.
You have another year on your tires as well most likely or maybe even different ones. There are tons of vaiable that can skew the two times.
I think your fine and run it in the fall for your new best ET

:iagree: A waeter station is a must. I'm guessing this is what was off. The CA, can change drastically in just a short period of time. :yesnod:
As mentioned, normalizing track data for all weather conditions is the only way to make valid comparisons from week to week. Both Baro and RH are quite important, though I believe air pressure has a larger effect than humidity.
For example, my Vette was running mid 13s last Sat. in bad weather while it can run nearly high 12s in "ideal" weather.
But I still think it might be the mufflers fault. Anyway, it is soon time to garage it for the winter here in sweden so I will have time to go through spark plugs etc. and perhaps I will run better next year again. My girlfriend is going to race it this weekend, perhaps she can do it better.
