LT-4 Knock Sensor

Has anyone used a LT-4 Knock Sensor in a L-98?

Any problems?

i have one on my car to try to cut back on knock counts and it seems to be working just fine.

i no you can not use a lt4 knock sensor in a lt1 unless it is a 96 (obd2) so im guessing you cant use it in a L98 if you are talking about the knock modual i no you can use them in the lt1s but i dont no about the L98 does it plug into the bottom of your computer?

it plugs into the spot where the original was at. the lt-4 knock sensor is less sensitive since it was used on an engine with roller rockers which make a good bit more noise that factory.

The knock sensor (plugs into block on bothsides above pan) is the same for LT1 vs. LT4. It is the knock module (also called ESC module) that is different, i.e the LT4 module interprets the knock sensor data different than the LT1 module does.

very true, i forgot the differences in wording. the sensor is the same for all of them i think. basically all of gm's vehicles had the same sensor.

We(92-93) can't switch to the LT4 knock module, only the ODBII guys can. And there's is located in their Computer if my memory serves me correct.

the knock sensors are not the same you can not switch them around unless you have a 96 lt1/lt4 the 96 is odb2 the 95 to 92 lt1s are odb1 they will not work with a lt4 knock sensor
