New92,

I do not have them in the rear of the car yet. I was afraid to make a zillion changes at once and loose track of that was changed, but I guess its too late.

I have changed since Etown:

RR lash from ~.036=>.012" (I think it should give me more upper end where I have noticed it fading lately, might kill my low end though, but it doesn't appear to have for street driving anyways)

3" exhaust that your all to familiar with :)

Camber Brackets in Rear (still need to install this week, before racing this weekend.

Roll Bar

QA1s on the front of the car.

So if I am way off my paces with my track times the next time I get to the track, I have a bunch of trouble shooting to do. Email me about the Rear Qa1s or post it here. Thanks Dave.

Note about the rear install of QA1s on a 1985 (probably applies to all early C4s.
You need to remove the brass insert on the lower mount, it won't fit otherwise (called HAL about that, they told me to do that). Also you need to get a number of 1/2" washers because the mounts are narrower then the stock shocks. I needed 3 for the top, 2 for the bottem to get the bushings to compress when torqued. Other then that, love the change.
Running 5 all around on the street and it feels like when I am running my race tires! Can't wait to crank them up at the track.

Lot of chatter on qa1's. How long have they been around? Warranty? Rebuildable? Are the rears also ez to adjust.
There web site says they are completely rebuildable and revalvable. http://www.halshocks.com/shocks/vettesuspension.html

Jesse,
I'm hoping you got all the problems fixed! I have a pair of rear QA1s I took off when I went to the 4-link, hold off buying new ones, we'll talk about them soon :yesnod: . BTW, think about burning a chip for my current setup, I'm sure the 'street tune' could use some help. Let me know if you ever looked into the other chips I gave you, I may need the Formato back soon.

Dave,

OK. Let me know what you would like for the rear ones........Yes I quickly, downloaded the chips that you let me look at. I did not look at any in detail, so I really can' comment specifically about any of them.

You are SD now correct? SHoot me an email with your mods and anything else you can think of, and let me take a look. Sure I can get something brewin for you that will work.

The chips were sent back earlier in the week. You should have gotten an email comfirmation number. If they don't come today, or in the next couple of days I will look into the tracking number for you.

Thanks...gotta get ready for the races today.....friggin raining now... :mad :mad :mad :mad
