My dash has got a rattle or vibration comming from the top under the area that meats the dash.. (maybe a few inches back tword the driver) have any of you had this problem? how in the heck do you fix it? or any idea what it might be? I already verified the wiper motor, brake booster, ECM platform and hood guides and screws are tight.. on the inside i have tighted the main cluster and the dash screws that are exposed...
the car doesnt have to be moving for this to happen.. but the engine has to be on..
Just looked at your bio to get the year ofyour car - at 102 years old, how can you hear a rattle?
I had a similar rattle and the only way I was able to find it was by removing dash parts and test driving the car. Mine turned out to be the four 10mm screws which connect the center of the dash frame to the transmission tunnel. I was able to get to them with a long extension after removing the radio. Once you start removing parts, you are able to put pressure on parts behind the dash with your hand while driving and it isn't too hard to find the rattles that way.
