Yeah the motors can go bad. I would start at the connector at the motor. Check for voltage there first plus ive seen corroded connectors that just needed a cleaning. If you dont get power at motor check the circuit breakers. Write back if you need more assistance. :smash:

Try this!
Slam the door and then hit the switch to raise or lower, if it works, it's likely the switch
If it doesn't, it's likely the motor.
