The resonance level is all a matter of your tolerance for it. 90% of the time I'm running with my windows down and I've always got the stereo on. By the time you get the stereo loud enough to overcome the wind, resonance just isn't a problem.
When I'm going down the interstate with the windows up the resonance really isn't THAT bad. It's actually about at it's worst around 70MPH which is around where I usually drive. Yeah it's loud but it's along the lines of a constant drone which I've learned to just tune out.
Drove my friend's 92 with stock exhaust the other day. Ugh, the fun factor just isn't there.

I agree. I had Flowmasters and Long tubes on my 383. I felt bad even starting it after 10pm.
