I had to replace my thermostat due to erratic cooling. That was easy. Filling was a little tougher.

The service manual says that there are two coolant bleed screws. I found the easy one by the throttle body front hose, passenger side. Where is the other one?

If you found the one on top of the thermostat housing, that's it. I don't know where there's another one, at least there isn't on my 96. Burp it good after the stat opens. :flag

I wouldn't even use the bleed screws. To get the air out of your cooling system. Remove the radiator resevoir cap, bring the engine up to temp (open t-stat), rev the engine at the same time pour in some coolant, while still reving replace the radiator cap. Doing this should purge the air from your system, without the possibility of getting the opti wet, which can happen using the bleed screws.

Interesting - boy am I slow. I do it that way all the time for my 89, but never thought about it for the 96 because of the remote fill reservoir and the bleed screws. I'll try it next time. Thanks a lot :flag
