it's a pulg in. You;ll have to drill two holes in the bottom of the door tho. What i did was position the regulator in the door and mark the holes. Then drill small holes from the top. and then use the correct size and drill up from the bottom. Then budget some time to get the window adjusted.
Do you happen to know who near me would sell the ribbon for the old regulator? MAD and TLD are closed for the weekend, and i cant get that part either.
I'm looking for the cheapest way to solve this problem, i have the new regulator, but i can still return it if i find the ribbon
Let me look for the receipt. Jeff had the one I bought in stock. Im headed out, but I'll get you the Pt# from Superior when I get back. IM me to remind me, I'll be drinking :D.
I'm not sure, but the 86 convertibles may have had the new style regulators and if that is the case, the holes may already be there on the 86 cars. My 86 had one of each when I bought it and when I upgraded the other side, the holes were there. Was about an hours job, due to having to remove all the stuff on the inside of the door. You also need to reverse the wires at the motor plug or the switch will operate the window backwards on the 86 cars. Got lucky on the window adjust. It was perfect from the start.
