Can anyone answer this or tell me where to find the info
I have the batwing off and with a straightedge on the center flange the distance from the mounting points (where the bushings go) is about a 1/2 inch different
sorry
let me try this again
with the bat wing off and the straightedge flat on the mating surface of the bat and diff case the front to rear dimension to where the bushings go
this is a used diff out of a wrecked car, I think it's bent
I probably, still don't understand you correctly. With the bat wing out of the car, the diff is free to move around. It is the batwing, mounted in the bushings that locate the diff in the car. I cannot imagine the stiff aluminum casting of the diff becoming bent enough to allow it to be missaligned. The casting would break, long before that. Am I reading you correctly, now?
