Help with winaldl download
I have downloaded winaldl from Jonas Bylund's site but cannot get it to work correctly. Is anybody experanced with the program that can lend a hand. I have made the cable as instructed by the site and hooked it up to the serial port. I get a reaction but only in the fields of MW2, PromidB, and CT. The MW2 comes up with zeros and fours, PromidB counts to 255, and CT repeats 122. The box next to configuration only flashes 5 and red, I'm not sure what this box is for or what should be there. I have it set for a 1227165 which from what I understand is what my 88 should have. Any ideas?

Was it a simple fab to make cable ?

Did you put a 10k ohm resistor between pins A+B of the ALDL?
The box should be flashing green with something like a 25 in it.
If I remember correctly the serial data line is used for the MPG dash functions when not in aldl mode.

The 10K resistor did the trick. I will have to record some of the results and hopefully you guys can help me interpret them.

The cable was a piece of cake, about 10 dollars worth of supplies from Radio shack. Had the cable together in about 15 minutes.
