i can't seem to get my drain plug out....i'm afraid of breaking the case ... :nonod: anybody got some solutions... i have tried alot of things even sprayed it with blaster and let it sit ...still seems frozen really tight :banghead: i really want to change my fluid but i don't want to break the case or strip it out :cry
Assuming that you're using a hex wrench / socket combination, try an impact wrench. It's amazing how often one will break loose a very stubborn bolt that might otherwise break.
On the other hand, unless the plug has been scrunched by bottoming out the car, I can't imagine that a plug with upteen quarts of oil sitting over it is really all that stuck. Bear in mind that the plug is a tapered thread. Therfore it might take a pretty good tug to get it loose.
One final thought, you could pump out the oil using the same plastic gallon bottle pump rig that most use to empty the differential.
Good luck. Cire96
i'm no wuss but i have had a 2 foot breaker bar on it with my feet braced and pulling with everything . i mean this thing is tight...it appears not to be crunched from bottoming out either ...so nobody has broke a case or anything??
