Has anyone had experience with the Bosch 4 electrode plugs ? And what is the secret to remove and replace the right bank plugs? Mine look like they never have been changed (57k miles). The car runs clean at high revs but burbles a bit above idle.
secret? the secret may be to put tape on your knuckles so they dont get cut up
the pass side is not terrible, except for the one in front under the compressor, but you might need better tools (ones that bend in the middle or in several places) so you have room to work
It's not realy a secret...just not very well documented.
The left side plugs can all be gotten with a spark plug socket and a 3/8" drive.
To ease access to the right side spark plugs, remove the plastic access panel from the inner fender well just over the top of the shock, remove the A/C compressor rear strut and remove the two AIR tubes. Then use an extension and swivel to get at the two front plugs and the spark plug socket with a 5/8" box-end wrench to get the two rear plugs.
Changing spark plugs is about a 1hr job, using the above scenario.
Don't foreget to clean the spark plug threads and use a littel anti-sieze on the threads.
