Calc Acceleration (G Force) & Speed at 60'
This calculation will tell you how many G's your pulling off the line. All you need is a timeslip with a 60' time. This calculation assumes a constant acceleration. In other words the answer is the average acceleration in G's over the entire 60 feet.
60 ' Time
(seconds) 1.49
Results:
1.69 av. G's to 60'.
54.9 M.P.H. at 60'.
What struck me as wild is its saying I am going 54.9MPH at the end of the 60' mark! That means 60mph has got to be about 1.5X, man that is cookin. I think lambos are only mid 2sec 0-60 MPH. I would like to line up against on the street/strip sometime. I would like to see his face.
Or at the end of the day, he flys past me at 200+ MPH smiling.... :D
Thanks Scorp for putting me back into reality. The least you could have done was say he offered me an invite to the PB mansion for taking him off the line :p: :conehead :p:
Sorry there is no visable equation.....the calculator does it for you. It have some really nice tools on it.
The HP calculator is VERY accurate if you know your cars weight and use the MPH you get in the 1/4. Mine with a weight of 3450# and 123MPH comes out to 441rwhp. I dynoed at 437HP. Can't get much closer than that.
You have to register to use it, but its quick and there are some other very nice tools available.
i have the conversion chart for 0-60 from 1/8 mile and 660 ET. Mine is 3.3 says diablo is 3.4. i don't know how to post it on here but i will mail it to ski-dwn-it and i'm sure he can do it.
