"As for me and my house we will drive the Vette"... :steering:
Well, it's Close.. :D
I think the correct quote is:::: "And on the Eighth Day God Created the Corvette." :D
As for buying a car to impress women, I think most of us on here (at least 99.9999% of us) bought the car because we liked it. I didn't buy it to impress anyone. I wanted it for me, because I have always dreamed about owning one.
Its been the same BIO since I subscribed to the forum.
Here it is.....
Always wanted a C3 vette since I was 5 years old. I'm now 22, and own a C4. I though they were just nice looking has a kid. Now after driving one I realized why the Corvette is a Legend.
My mom can even confirm this because its the truth!
This is why I baught my vette, but extra bonnus's came along with it
That pool and spa lube sounds like a great idea, but even better: Corn Oil. I forgot where I read about preserving weatherstripping with corn oil, but I did somewhere. I cant see how it could do any harm, plus just about everyone has a bottle in their kitchen, and it doesnt take too much to do. Cheap, and plentiful!
I have replaced everything except the Rear roof/targa strip and the two small pieces on the rt. & lft. roof panel. Yes its expensive. I had the winshield weatherstriping done when the new windshield was put in a couple of months ago.
Check out my web site. I just replaced everything. Learn from MY mistakes!! *Also, learn what two companies NOT to buy weatherstripping from!!! Good luck, bro!
Thanks C-4 Cross Fire, I've bookmarked your page :chevy
When i'm crusing in my Supra or my soon 4runner up on 33's... i won't be jelous of any vette.
If you're looking for a 4Runner, my mom is selling her 96. You have to turn the air conditioning off to make it up a hill, it idles rough, it no longer has a 4th gear, it leaks/burns about a quart of oil per 500 miles, everywhere coolant has ever touched is rotten and needs to be replaced, and ABS system is dead, and the sunroof leaks. But you can fit a bunch of hoes in it.
Back to topic.
I'm about to have to replace some weatherstripping on my 88. It never leaks water into the car, but you'd consider it a miracle after seeing the weatherstripping. It's sort of tattered around the door and just looks bad in general.

...You could fit a LOT of them in my Ford Fairmont too; but I don't think women find them very exciting (not my '88 anyway)...Unless I did what Bill Cosby once said and put a hole in the muffler to go "vroom vroom"...anyway, when someone is hired for their services, they aren't supposed to get a vote in what car they're in! So when a Vette FLIES past a 4runner on Sunset bvd or where ever, I guess no one will care, right?
:p:
I'm just bored with corvettes. Tired of the shiiit. And I'll be OFF in the mud with the 4runner.. ... as for Sunset Blvd I have my Turbo Supra. Won't see to many C4's fly by that....

As for the mud, you'll get no arguments about that (but then it's not REALLY the same type of usage vehicle is it?) and the Supra, lets not forget longevity; 70MPH @ 1600rpm in the vette Vs how many revs in the japper?...umm...sorry...I blew one of those of the other week on my way to work (in the c4)
Basic Problem seems to be that sun and ozone (pollution) seem to combine to make rubber parts go away. Weatherstrips/ Bushings/ Hoses/ Belts.
Here in Texas they seem to last about 7 or 8 years before beginning to show cracking, hardness, etc. Maybe in the North they last longer.
FWIW, GM rubber lasts longer than Japanese rubber on my wife's Lexus.
Either way.... I'm tired of arguing. This is gay. To each his own.
:withstupid: hehe This HAS become a bit 'Gay'...Have fun with your Supra and 4x4. My point IS that if in all that time you didn't ever have ANY fun with your Corvette, I'd be VERY surprised AND dissapointed on your behalf.
Oh no doubt I had fun with my car in the past 5 yrs. Tons of fun and my share of head aches too. I'm just up for a change. Not to mention that I could use a truck... tired of borrowing my dad's. I'll have my low 11sec Supra.... sitting in the garage... and then my Get'R Done willard Toyota truck...hehe.
