All ready - gee it's only September? What year? Is air flowing out of the heater vents when you put it on heat? Sounds like the door (controlled by an electric motor) that closes off air to the a/c evaporator isn't closing. If you have electronic air, you can remove the blower control module on the evaporator housing and then have someone cycle the dash panel between heat & a/c. Door should move. If it does move, probably a plugged heater core. If it doesn't, you need to troubleshoot the motor and linkage. Need year for more details on how to figure it out.
'95 should throw a code if the motor that controls the temp door is out of whack - is the temp display blinking? I would go ahead and pull the blower module on the evaporator housing and observe the door while someone pushes the buttons. My guess is that it's ok if there's no code. Sounds instead like the heater core is plugged. You can try to flush it, but sometimes the only solution is to replace it. The passageways are fairly small and when they plug up, coolant will simply flow across the top of the core, but not through it. Disconnect the heater hoses and hook up a garden hose to it or you can try compressed air if you have a compressor - just don't exceed about 25 psi.
