This is my first of I am sure many posts here...the group is great!
Anyway, under heavy/hot load, my transmission seems to be "boiling over", hence the fluid is overflowing from some point (not sure where?), and dripping on the exhaust while driving...otherwise the trans always shifts smooth and there doesn;t appear to be anything else really wrong with it.
You may have a blockage in the transmission cooler located within the radiator. Disconnect the lower hard line that enters the bottom of the radiator, and put a funnel over the radiator side, aim the fluid into a pan. Let the engine run for 5 seconds and see if any fluid comes out. This will probably make a mess. If fluid flows out, you may just have too much fluid in the transmission. Did you check the level hot, on a level surface, with the car in drive?
If both of those check out ok, I'm stumped. Hopefully someone else can give you some help.
Don't keep driving with it leaking on the exhaust, you could have a fire.

What area of the exhaust? Could be just a plain old leak (or intermitted leak) when the tranny warms up...
