As far as I can remember, L-98s aren't equipped with straight plugs, at least not on my old iron heads. They do, however, have a "special" angle that is different than regular Chevy 350 angle plug heads. I am currently running AFR-190 straight plug heads and SLP shorty headers. The plugs are a little more difficult to get too, and the plug wire boots virtually rest on the header. So if you are putting on regular angle plug heads, you shouldn't have any issues with the plugs/wires on the headers.

I'm running Edelbrock Victor Jr heads that have angle plugs. I had to modify 2 tubes on my Lingefelter headers to clear the plugs. One tube just had to be dimpled a little bit, the other I cut off and with the help of an old doner header rerouted.
On a good note, I can now change all my plugs from the top of the car. With the stock Lingenfelter headers I could only get #8 from the bottom.
