 I have some trouble with my AC. I have recently replaced the controller and performed some modifications to the programmer (upgraded the resistors). I then had a new compressor, dryer and orifice installed, the system evacuated and re-charged (134A).
Here is the problem: the system worked great for about a day and now it is blowing hot air, even with the system off, you can still feel hot air coming through the vents. The heater seems to work great, but I cannot figure out why the AC does not blow cold air. The hoses coming off the compressor and dryer are cold, and the dryer is cold too, any suggestions?
Temp door in the evaporator housing may not be moving. It's controlled by a motor and if it's broken, the outside air temp light should be flashing indicating a diagnostic code. If it's not flashing, the linkage may be broken. Observe the door by removing the blower control module and see if it moves while someone pushes the heat and a/c buttons. If not, remove the hush panel on the passenger side to access the motor which is mounted in the middle of the heater plenum. If the door did move, then air flow over the evaporator may be restricted which can happen if its been leaking for any length of time, but you would also notice a reduction in air flow. Otherwise, recheck pressures.
 Thanks for the advice, but that want it. It seem as though the PC card in the programmer got a bit hot where the old one watt resistors were mounted and the foil run lifted from the board and broke. I re attached the run and soldered it, and things seem to be working fine. Thanks again for the help.
