Well my engine has 157k and I was looking into crate engines. I have the Scoggin-Dickey performance catalog. Inside is the Fastburn 385 with hotcam and its going for around $4,800. The engine makes 430hp at 6000rpm and 430ft/lbs @ 4400rpm. Just needs some of the tin and intake I believe. Well I want the engine. Has anybody thrown one in their car or something similar? Also would I be able to run a miniram with this engine? or would a different intake best complete this engine? :seeya
The intake "THATS WHERE THEY GET'CHA". Most all the crate motors I've seen use a carb.It seems like everybody can make an old school sbc with a carb out turn 400+ hp.I would like to see what kind of numbers these motors would turn with a well tuned fuel injection.
Unless that Mini-Ram is machined to be bolted onto a Votec Head style bolt pattern, NO it won't work. However I do beleive that Scoggin Dickey makes a TPI base for the Vortec bolt pattern. So that means you could use a Super Ram.
A vortec miniram intake...Well thats news! Would it flow enough to get me thosr numbers? Aside from that it should bolt up in my car being a 350 right..? 700R4 would go in just fine right...
