A clogged cat will force inert gasses back into the combustion chambers and lower the vacuum in the engine.
Not only will it not idle, the power will take a s**t.
If it only idles crappy but has plenty of power, I would look at the throttle body first. :thumbs:

what about the throttle body? i just took it off and cleaned it about a month ago..
..what should i check on it?
