Default What next?

Ok, I have switched to K&N air and oil filter with the air filter lid mod. Synthetic engine oil. What next? MAF? Throttle Body? Recommendations please. I'm not looking for wam bam break necking speed, just general overall good performance. 96 CE LT1

Thanks,

Robert

Good exhaust system so it sounds better.
Good tires & good street alignment so it handles better.
Good tune-up (if you don't know the history) so it runs better.
If you don't want to race, etc., then you really don't have to do more than make it run, handle, and sound good to enjoy life

If you want to wake it up a bit later, then gears (something in the mid-to-high 3s - Do you have the G71 RPO code for the performance axle?), and headers will help the most. Don't bother with MAF or Throttle Body changes as you won't gain anything with the rest bsing stock.

What would be a good recommended exhaust? I would like a little more rumble. I always enjoyed the rumble I got from my 91 Camaro, this doesn't seem to have it, it's pretty quite. I really don't want something too loud or that will intefere with pleasurable driving maybe just a little more rumble to it.

Can you define street alignment? Specs, etc.

Thanks,

Robert

Just check out my sig. Everything I did to the car, I can undo.

With an LT-1 the HP may not be as high, but it'll be close.

Breathless Performance Parts also sells pre-made packages in different stages depending how much of an HP gain you want.
