Chattering clutch
I have the ZF in my 89, when i let the clutch out you can hear some clanging around in there,,,,this has been going on for a while (5 months) and i havn't run into problems yet. i just havn't had time to pull it apart and see what the deal is.
what is the problem, and what kind of time frame am i lookin at before it starts to cause more problems???

Clutch chatter is relatively normal. Do a search in the archives for similar diagnosis.
It's probably a good idea to simply change the fluid first.
Also, if the clutch doesn't engage until the pedal is pretty high in the air, it my be chattering due to a worn clutch/throw out bearing.
