NOS inline fuel pump, any one got a write up on the install?
Ok, I've got my fuel pump, but I don't have any directions. Obviously I can splice it inot the fuel line, but what about the wiring? Does it need a constant 12V, or should it be activated at WOT some how?
Re: NOS inline fuel pump, any one got a write up on the install? (neat)
I THINK IT'S THE SAME AS THE IN LINE PUMP USED FOR SUPERCHARGING AND i'VE GOT THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THAT....GIVE ME A FAX # AND i'LL SEND IT TO YOU.

For the record, anyone with a speed density (92, or 93) car, the dry nitrous system (the one that sprays only nitrous and uses an inline pump to boost fuel pressure, so your injectors spray more fuel) will not work....

And what do you base that presumption on?
Wouldn't dry kits not be sold if they wouldn't work for an LT1?
Also you might want to look at the number of Fbody LT1's runnign dry nitrous systems without hassle/issues..

He's right. you have to have MAF sensor to detect the N20 and tell the computer to add more fuel. A speed density car will not recognize the N20 as N20 and will treat it as regular air. Without extra fuel, you'll blow it. You have to tap into the fuel system and run a fuel solenoid/jet and a nitrous solenoid/jet if you've got a 1992-93 LT1.
See, it's not a presumption its a fact. ;d It also looks like I was aware of that, but thanks for the warning. ;)
FWIW, I am running a 100 wet shot now (on top my 383), but I think the stock fuel pump has just about maxed out. That's why I need the extra pump. I picked up the NOS one for cheap, that's why I am using it.

Sorry but that's quote wrong.
Most EFI dry kits that are not the cheaper ones that rely on a MAF to adjust the fuel through the injectors, use the fuel pressure regulator to raise fuel pressure, which works with...... yes, SpeedDensity also..
Re: NOS inline fuel pump, any one got a write up on the install? (MrNuke)
What does the speed density car use to recognize the N20, and thus the need for extra fuel? How does the speed density engine recognize that N20 is being sprayed into the intake?
Re: NOS inline fuel pump, any one got a write up on the install? (neat)
there are tons and tons of info out there on the web about how nitrous works on different types of EFI setups. No ecm 'recognizes' Nitrous. When you use a MAF setup to adjust your fuel addition, the ecm only sees more/colder/denser air so it adds more fuel to compensate to whatever table is defines in it's programming (chip). The only car I would totally rely on this setup would be the LS1 as their ecm's are fast and they have a very heavy duty MAF sensor. Most people who use dry nitrous on anything from imports to mustangs to fbodies/vettes use a system where as nitrous is engaged, it forces 'some' metered pressure to the Fuel Pressure Regulator, thus increasing fuel pressure to compensate for nitrous.
