Just bleed it the normal way, do NOT try to bleed the ABS unit, just the four wheels.
I agree. The ABS motor/pump cycles during a self test everytime your Vette is started. The fluid is circulated in and out of the pump during the self test. If the system hasn't been flushed in a while (or ever), I'd just flush the system every 30-50 engine strt cycles (about 30 days?) and flush the system again. After 3-4 flushes you can be sure there's fresh fluid in the ABS pump.
I wouldn't try to flush the ABS pump on the later Vettes (94-96). To do it right requires a TECHII scan tool, if you get air in the pump you'll set the ABS light, disable ABS and need a $200 trip to the dealer to resolve the problem.
I am thinking of bleeding the brakes this weekend. Is this easy? and do you have any recommendations as for what to use and what to look out for? Thanks in advance.
