A friend is looking into buying an 84 project. He wants to remove the cross fire engine and replace with a 350 he already has. The question I have is will a carburated 350 fit under the hood even with a low-rise intake.
Why not. Tell him to register here. To get some info himself.
Also with a '84, Check out the http://www.crossfire.webhop.net
and sign up.
Good Luck.
Just FYI, and my 2 cents.

Here is a pic of my 84 with a carb right after I completed the swap it's not cleaned up, but you get the idea.
It will fit and my intake was not a low profile but I used a thin air cleaner.
Your friend will need to use all the stock sending units for the fan, oil presure/temp, temp sensor, and figure a way to lock up the converter. A couple of companies make a ECM free lock up kit like Bow Tie transmisions and B&M.
