'85 engine RPM hunting solved.
My engine kept hunting up and down. I decided to remove the throttle body and clean it. Found my IAC was loose and letting air past the threads. I used some plumbers liquid thread sealant and re-installed it. Now it doesn't jump up from 5500 to 9000 rpms anymore. I still have what seems like an electrical miss. This distributor and module is the original one and now has 170K miles on it. I wonder if their might be a problem there?

Good deal Dude. That red Vette looks good!! I think you made a typo on your RPM's though. 9,000 RPM's is what the Indy cars run at.

:lolg: You guys crack me up. I got a good laugh out of that one. Nothing gets by this forum. As Ren would say to Stimpy or vice versa, "YOU IDIOT". Ok, it was hunting from 550 to 900. What a humbling experience, makes me want to go into the corner of my garage. :banghead:
