Default Possible seat Mod

What are the chances, do you think, to successfully modify the stock seats for should harnesses? I would not think it would be that difficult to place 2 or 1 holes in the seat for the harnesses to go through. Some creative cutting and stich work, along with the plastic inserts from any of the aftermarket seat manufacturers should work, shouldn't it?

Would look cool but since the back of the seat is held in place with a rather flimsy latch it would not pass inspection for any type of racing. If you are doing it for looks then it would work but if you had a crash they will not hold that is why seat belts are never bolted to a seat it would tear the seat out they need to be bolted to something a lot stronger than the leanback of a seat.

Bart,
I said make holes in the seats for the harnesses to go thru, not to mount to. I am installing a cage right now.

the idea souds good in itself as long as you mount to a bar that is directly behind the whole in the seat. I have seen people just go around the seat.

Then they would work fine you can also buy seats with the hole in them for the belts. I don't know who builds them but I have seen them in car before.
